Private day trip from Ålesund to the Geirangerfjord

The Geiranger Fjord is, together with the Nærøy Fjord, part of the West Norwegian Fjord Landscape, which is on UNESCO's famous World Heritage List. In good company with world-famous landmarks such as the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Wall of China and the Grand Canyon. The spectacular fjord is, so to speak, untouched in modern times and the cultural landscape is well preserved.

Explore

Not surprisingly, the fjord is the basis for the rest of the activities in Geiranger. How many different angles can you see the fjord from during your stay? Immerse yourself in Norway's dramatic natural landscape on this day trip. After being picked up from your hotel in Ålesund, you can begin your journey to Hellesylt, passing through the industrial town of Stranda and the Sykkylven mountain region along the way.

Take a ferry to Hellanger in Hellesylt. Lunch and snacks can be bought on board. Learn all about Geirangerfjord from the audio guide on board and get the opportunity to see the famous waterfalls. After getting off the ferry, stop in the village of Geiranger.

Later, travel along the "Ornveien" to Eidsdal. Hop on another ferry and travel to Linge, enjoying more panoramic views along the way. On your way back to Ålesund, witness the most amazing places in the fjord, including snow-capped mountain peaks, wild waterfalls and lush, green vegetation.
